PEARLIA bench
Pearlia is a chair design inspired by two natural landmarks of Yilan, Taiwan.
The turtle IslandGuishan Island is also known as Turtle Mountain. The name comes from its shape and silhouette surrounded by the sea, Turtle Mountain is a famous landmark of Yilan. Even the Lanyang Museum is inspired by the shape of the island.
Glass beachPirates Cove is a beach that is covered with glass sand. This beach is an abandoned illegal landfill where the glass waste has been polished by seawater and sand for decades. They have become smooth, fine glass pebbles mixed with the sands. It is beautiful but at the same time, it's a testimony to the pollution and human carelessness for the environment.

The delicate and elegant "Pearlia bench" has a clear, distinct silhouette, representing the unique beauty of Turtle Island in crisp lines. The shape at the center of the bench is filled with glass pebbels, It can be covered up by a flat glass cover or be used it as a book, bottle or cup holder.
